GTA V to be a “Radical Reinvention” of the GTA Universe


While last Wednesday debut trailer for GTA V did its part to crash the internet, today Rockstar issued the official press release announcing the game while confirming details such as the setting and inclusion of multiplayer and letting fans know that the game will be a “radical reinvention” of theGTA universe.
You probably knew or assumed most of what was covered by watching the trailer, but check out the full press release below to get Rockstar’s official take and stay fully up to speed on the latest entry in the iconic franchise. Rockstar Games Announces Grand Theft Auto V
Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., is very proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is in full development.
Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Media Update

If you’ve been tracking the potential-packed Action RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you’ll be glad to know that a hefty media update has come your way today and includes some new screens, a combat features interview, and this nifty video preview on GameTrailers.com.

While it’s not quite enough to tide you over until the game’s release in early 2012, the media should certainly help you discern whether or not Amalur will be worth reckoning with once the title is released on the PS3, 360, and PC in February.

First Patches Made for Retail Battlefield 3

It appears that the Battlefield 3 open beta is serving its purpose, as DICE revealed the first laundry list of patches set to arrive with the shipment of the final game later this month. The list below is not the entire list of patches, updates, and tweaks, but are more or less the more notable of the bunch.
By the way, how are you guys digging the latest from DICE?
  • Fixed occasional client crash when reviving.
  • Fixed killcam showing glitched area under map if your killer is dead.
  • Issue with spawning on dead squad mates fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where shooting at a moving enemy could cause more than the intended amount of damage.
  • Crosshairs for shotguns have been replaced with a new, thinner, art.
  • A subtle low health screen effect has been added.
  • Tweaked scores of Medals and Service Stars.
  • Tweaked the Rank progression.
  • Pushing prone on console will not play the animation twice.
  • Fixed loss of Squad Leader after EOR at some times.
  • Framerate stability fixes.
  • The 3D spotting icons has been tweaked to better match the target’s visibility. Icons will show frequently less on mostly obscured targets.
  • Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after round transition.
  • Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after trying to deploy while the countdown timer still active.
  • Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates.
  • Non working options in squad menu fixed: “Private” flag and “Switch Teams”.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations Delayed on PC

After experiencing similar delays to such as Driver: San Francisco, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, and From Dust, PC fans are once again getting a Ubisoft title after their console brethren as it’s being reported thatAssassin’s Creed Revelations won’t hit the platform until December. The game is still on track for a PS3 and 360 release in mid-November, although no official reason for the delay on PC has been given as of yet.
